Diamodback Joker or Viper ?
« on: October 09, 2016, 09:17 AM »
Hi, what would be the better purchase in terms of a collectors point a 1995 Viper or 1998 Joker ?

I don't think either are particularly desirable to collectors....although nice bikes.
The Viper was always the bottom of the range in the 80's...not sure about the 90's ones.
If you have a choice of the two go for the one with full chromo frame and/or the better parts list  :daumenhoch:

I'm confused, I don't know a lot about diamond backs but from what I've read they dropped the rear brake down to the chain stays in 1998 and where a high tensile steel frame but previous to that the 1997 Jokers people are saying were super light so did they drop the chromoly construction in 1998 and change to a heavier steel construction ?

The Viper was an entry level race/dirt bike, the Joker was an entry level street/ramp bike and the 3 years difference in manufacture year means that the Joker was lovingly crafted from decomissioned ship anchors. Personally, the 95 Viper is the nicer looking of the 2 and would make a cool mid school rider, also it wont give you a hernia when you attempt to make it leave the ground .
Whats the matter Kid, don't ya like clowns? Don't we make you laugh? Aint we fukkin funny?
