An old friend has contacted me via Face ache, and he shot these pics over, first time i had seen them so was welling up!
The Black and white one is me on my Steve Wilson on the original Milton Keynes BMX track, you went straight out of the gate and piled down a big hill, i remember the start gate being made up of scaffolding tubes too, even as a 12 year old i thought it looked a little bodged, i think it was one of my first races and loved the day!
I broke the steel Wilson, and we went back to Steve Wilsons unit and Steve did a PX for a Reynolds 531 frame, after that i went VDC then Hutch.
I did a full season in 1984 finishing 6WM in the 14year olds, did one National made the final and lobbed it!
