Can I get an ID on these chrome forks was told they were torker?

Hi,
I had these up for sale in here with a torker 280 frame, but was told that the forks might not be torker. I've taken down the sale post and am hoping some of you guys can help me out. Here are some pics





I was told that torker forks have longer dropouts? They are super light so would have thought they would be better than a set of generic forks but who knows. I need to sell the torker 280 frame and these forks so any info would be great and a rough value to. Cheers for looking, Jonathan

Not a definite i.d but they've got a look of early Elf forks.

how thick are the dropouts?

o/s drops are usually about 1/8" or 3mm thick, these look more beefy, mid school type drops.

Definitely not a Torker fork. The legs are more 'flared' at the top on a Torker fork, and old school generally. I would got that being an Elf Fork, around 89/90 ish.

Pretty sute they ain't Elf. The top of Elf forks have more of a wrap around the steerer tube plus they don't have a spot weld on the inside top of the dropouts.





Dropouts do look very similar in shape though.

Forgot to take a pic of the dropouts unfortunately and I'm out on the piss now. Will take some tomorrow.

Thanks for the help and info, those welds at the base of the steerer tube look identical to me

Have a look at Boss Racing forks... actually forget that, but with 3mm thick dropouts they have to be 84 onwards forks and probably made by Boss so they could be ELF forks but later ones had ELF stamped into the dropout and early ones had offset legs.  Looking at these those is quite compelling...

Hi. Can I ask what you mean by offset legs? When I look at my forks the left leg seems to extend a bit further out than the right, but I don't know if that's what you mean? Thanks for the reply though

Sure, the early ELF forks were offset from the steerer tube so that the legs seem further forward than they should be, you can see what I mean on my old 1990 ELF pro below...
