1984 Gen 1 Haro Sport Finished

Here we go again  :slayer: First build in over 8 months

Spotted this on FB . I've always wanted a sport to sit with the Gen 1 Freestyler  :)
And this popped up  :smitten: 1984 Gen 1 Sport . Only 10 in the world apparently  :shocked:

Early days yet, but it's already on it's way to SBD for fresh white paint. It only ever came as a F&F so it's completely open to what parts i decide to use.
Slightly nervous as it's my first Freestyle bike from scratch. But excited .






It's going to take a while . Updates to Follow.

Nice one Carl. I've flirted with the idea of getting a Haro a few times. Good to see you've got one. Plenty of experts on here to give you advice/tips, plus you know the bloke who designed it which always helps  :LolLolLolLol:

Here is what info I have found .

Hi Carl , the sport you have bought is the 1st generation and probably the only Sport to ever where the signature Mike Dominguez on the chain stays as I believe these were only made by Torker over maybe a 4 month run as the 2nd gen was released with the tapered stays in Aug 84.
The 1st gen sport has non tapered tubing unlike any other 84 sport, same as the 1st Master .

Mike left Haro summer 84 to hutch, which meant any sport after this time had Bob Haro signature on the chain stays

1st gen- Torker/non taper
2nd gen.- Torker/ thin taper
3rd gen- tai made/ tapered with chevrons stamped in gusset

OG decals . With the grey stripe cut round the gusset like it should be  :daumenhoch:
