Hope you like.

1984 Second Generation Torker Built Haro Sport in original paint with original decals and in survivor condition .
Oldest know to exist and thought to be the very first 2nd gen produced.
Built over a period of 6 months sourcing used and unrestored original era correct parts which was harder than finding the minty versions. The ODI grips are original and the Number plate is also an OG survivor with used push on numbers (only took me 4 months to find a number 8!! .
All parts are original 84/85 and used with exception to the tyres which are unused comp 3.
However ...
Since these photos were taken last weekend (just managed to finish in time for MK16 ) the bike has received some ratty well used blue Comp 3 Tioga Tyres and the chainring has been replaced by an identical well used sugino blue chainring which has some fading.

The skyways are currently being swapped over for faded red ones and red dc 84 cables. i didnt get on with the coaster and being 50/50s i knew they were 85's . that said this frame and fork set would have actually been retailed in 85 as they didnt make the UK shops till Early Dec 84 .

Ok maybe a tad OCD for a Survivor / Rat build  ;D :D ;)

Lovely bike Stockcar3

Are you saying all 50/50 Tuffs are 1985 onwards ? 😊
Just to query your concern over 50/50 Tuffs . I don't know about your particular pair , as you may have checked the serial dating inside the tyre rim (usually in a marker pen by the production line )
But from my personal experience I bought a pair of 50/50 black Tuffs in December 1983  from Surrey BMX shop , so they were definately produced in 1983 , if that helps at all.😇
If Im barking up the wrong tree , just pretend you've never read this drivel 👍🏻

You sure It wasn't December 84 Christian ?
This is taken from the skyway history page ,
By 1985 there were a good number of "copycat" wheel makers out there, but Skyway was still the master of their craft. Skyway, wanting to improve their Tuff Wheel design again, re-tooled their molding machines and starting making the Tuff Wheel version that is still available today. This version did away with the metal and alloy flanges of the past model and had the "Kool hub" design actually molded in the wheel itself.

I always understood it was late 84- early 85 when the change over happened
