Keep going Andy . I'm sure you will nail it eventually
You coming to MK? if so we can all learn stuff together
Ahhhh that's a real shame, would've been cool to see you there
That's just a variation of a rockwalk. Pretty much the same technique. Very trials inspired. You will already know which way your prefer to turn/air etc. So, moderate speed, turn in just a bit (in your favourite direction) and hit your front brake. At the same time kick your legs and round you will go.Don't be surprised if many of your attempts end with a foot on the ground. The more you practice the more subtle the movements will become and the more control you'll have. You will also realise that the second part of that trick where you rotate the front of the bike can actually save you putting a foot down during the first.Try to keep your bars straight, don't be tempted to allow the frame to rotate around the bars, this will only mess you up for the second part. The second part is pretty much no more than ragging the bike around with brute force. If you lean ever so slightly into the move you'll find that the repositioning of the bike corrects your balance and you'll bull the trick by default. Finally, you'll be able to steal the second part occasionally if you don't pull your rear brake and instead put pressure on your front pedal. you'll basically wheelie out of trouble. I hope that made some sense Have fun. Don't forget to smile.
Cool.Yeah, you need a neutral body position - neither forward or back. You are exactly right, it's a rotation on the front wheel. If you keep everything nice and straight and neutral and try just the first half on a slight downhill it'll create a nice rollback. I do that at Rom at the top of a slope and roll back. Fun.
/>Looks a bit like what I do? If your using brakes make sure they work well get decent new school pads, Eclat force etc. Try and ride at a slight angle pull front brake, push forwards on the bars have your right foot forwards and cranks horizontal then the kick needs to come from you ankles and knees at the same time time as shifting your weight round. Good luck.
