As some of you know I have been collecting BMX kit from the 90's and over the last year or so I managed to get all 3 S&M kits that were used in the 90's. Ever since I had them I have wanted to build bikes to go with the kits.

I have a 93 Challenger that pairs up with the 93 kit on the right, but have been on the hunt for a 1990 Holmes to match up with the 89-91 kit on the left. Anyway a week or so ago I finally managed to do a deal with Kev on his MK1 Holmes and this arrived shortly after.

I stripped it down and have already sold off a lot of the parts. It was a nice build but I had a pretty specific idea in my mind of how I wanted it built so began collecting my own bits for it. I kept the F&F, bars, and brake lever but the rest has now been shifted.

Mark was parting out his challenger so I managed to get a few nice bits off of him. The boa is mine from back in the day and is the very one I ran on my Holmes in 93.

Im still trying to track down a fair few bits but will update the thread as I make progress. Im hoping to have it done for MK but hat all relies on me finding the last few pieces Im after.

Yes its all being left as is.

At the moment the item on the top of the list is a set of SR Speed Trap pedals. There are a few on the museum but the shipping is crazy so am trying to find some locally.

Thanks very much. So far it all seems to be coming together but there are a few bits that are starting to prove tricky to find.

Rims for the build arrived. Need to get building the wheels.....

On a more worrying note the tracking number for my cranks says they were delivered today but nothing turned up. Fingers crossed they haven't been lost.

Also managed to pick up a nice set of all original Half Wraps. Even the bearings are the original japanese ones and the patina on them is dead right for the build.

Finally got this finished today. Will take some proper pics in the next few days. Its definitely one of my roughest bikes but its also one of my favourites.

Thanks for the kind words folks. Just managed to get hold of an XXL TNT stem to replace the Pro TNT stem that is currently on it. Going to swap that over tomorrow and try take some better pics.
