1988 DB Woody Itson Strike Zone
« on: May 03, 2016, 11:14 AM »
Recently swapped this for a SC Big Ripper ,  90% survivor , was sent over to me in bits , so had a good clean
nice ride this one , big plus for me it has the free coaster ........

So after a good clean up , it needed new cables a chain , tires and a change of grips , i had some 80's og Ame
so they look a treat on it ..........

Didn't change any spokes as wanted to keep it as og as possible ............cheers   :daumenhoch:

Super cool  :4_17_5:

I have an '87 frame set and bars, plus some smalls, that I am in between re-doing. It came to me stripped, sadly, so I couldn't keep it original.

Are the old white tyres available?  :)
Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?   No, it's your top score on Pole Position.

I have one of these coming over to me. Not all original like yours. Great job on the sympathetic resto.
From what I've read they only made 500 of these, not many around now.

Don't often come over to the freestyle section but my interest was piqued by seeing one of these in Tokyo last weekend, so had to have a closer look at yours! :daumenhoch:  I love a survivor build and this one's great, plus it looks like a roomy rider to boot. It also shares the same Tioga disc as I've now got on my Free Agent, which first came to me on a Haro Group 1. I wasn't sure when they were made but see that it was factory-spec on these, so I guess that makes it mid/late-80s-ish.

Btw, where's the seaside backdrop?

Cheers  guys yeah really glad to have this one in the collection it's a cool looking ride . Not too many kicking around these days . Also had to change the seat post as it didn't come with one so used a period  correct  drain pipe thought it looked right for the build.

The beach , around 50 km south of Perth WA

The MD has no coaster tab as he didn't ride one ....nor spikes on the rear standers. Full 4130 :)
