Tioga Rhino 3
« on: April 29, 2016, 07:27 PM »
I really fancy building an all Japanese bike and am looking at a Tioga Rhino 3 with the fluted top and down tubes... any one got any idea at how much i'm looking at for a decent f & f ?  or a Rhino Charge. Or does anyone have any other suggestions ?

Personally I'd go for a Charge as it's bigger and sleeker and sexier and pretty fookin rare!
Who wants to ride with Eddie Fiola?

Both lovely Tange made frames with some cool, individual features but they can be thin on the ground and there's a few fanboys out there;)

I thought the Anaconda was also Tange-made but there was a guy over on the Museum with one who said that Schauff made the early frames themselves. I'm sure Paul will clear this one up for us! :daumenhoch:

Top choice btw Dave, but then I'm biased!

I had a brief chat via IM with Jann Schauff a while back about the Anaconda Pro Powertwist and I got the impression that they could have been fabricated in Germany by Schauff using Tange tubes. I don't know if that would have been the case for all of them plus the messages were in broken English so it wasn't really clear tbh).

I heard elsewhere that the frame design had input from Perry Kramer but no one seems to want to talk about that (probably because of his contract status at the time). I would say it's by far the best OS 20" frame I've ever had sporting the Tange brand though ;)
