Never ones to take the easy options in life we decided that rather than sending our frames to SBD down in Dagenham we'd make a day of it and drive down all the way from West Lancs....

We set off at 8.00 and met and old BMX collector friend of mine ( he who shall remain nameless ) at around 12 Noon near Kettering.
I managed to pick up this piece of lovely NOSness for my Quad build ....

Andy you know you need those Hutch Ladders in your life mate!

We then head further into the belly of the beast and finally got to meet Dan the Man at PWS around 4 o'clock!
Bloody London traffic ....

I've got to say Dan is a top geezer and he made the trip totally worthwhile. It was cool to see what and where all the magic happens...

There were frames everywhere ... Haros, Torkers, Streetbeats, Burners....

This rich bastard had about 4 frames waiting to be done ... Flash Get!  :2funny: :LolLolLolLol:

This candy red over silver looked amazing!

So we high tailed it out of London at breakneck speed as you can imagine ...

..... Finally returning home at around 10.00pm we were cream crackered... But we'd had a top day out!

Thanks for posting this up Ant. It was a long, but worthwhile and enjoyable day. Dan's done 3 frames for me before, so it was great to meet him and to see where it all happens. He was a top geezer  :daumenhoch:

I like Dan's sign above the place 'Powder Coating for the Avionic and Marine Industry',

The nearest Dan probably gets to powder coating anything marine related, is when he does stuff for Richie Clean.

I think we'll get the frames posted back. Part of the reason we drove was i needed to speak to Dan about how best to get my frame done in pink. I wanted to get a good colour match to my seat/cables/grips. I had to go for wet spray instead of powder.

Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?   No, it's your top score on Pole Position.

Accept no substitute, when he did my ET Sidehack rather than post it he got his son, Billy, to deliver it personally to my bar in Bury,  now that's above and beyond   :4_17_5:

If you had gone another 1/2 mile up the road you could have had Pie & Mash :daumenhoch:

Or another 6 miles down the road to mine and a cup of rosey lee and a bit of in t nude.
When I was born, the world was a far simpler place.
It was all just cops and robbers.
And BMX.

I almost suggested a detour into the east end to get a salt beef beigel on Brick Lane. I'll save that for the London ride. Love a bit of salt beef  explosion
