Anybody ever seen a set? Seen them in adverts from early 2000's magazines. But never seen a set, Even google images doesn't show a set.
Did they make it onto shelves?

Are you sure they're not 'Southgate' pedals. I see one article on google starts off calling them southgate pedals, and then southpaw.

from transworld ride bmx july 23, 2001.
3) Odyssey has three versions of its new Southgate pedal. The Southgate is available with loose ball or Panther Tech sealed bearings with replaceable skateboard bearings. As an added bonus, the Panther Tech version of the Southgate pedal is available in an aluminum or magnesium body and comes with a 14mm 4130 chromoly spindle. The loose bearing version of the Southpaw pedal retails for $29. Prices for the Panther Tech versions are $100 for magnesium and $75 for aluminum.

Picked up a set last month. Sealed version. Has a skateboard/scooter bearing on the outer end and a needle bearing on the inner end.
DMR V12's only have 1 cartridge bearing and a metal bushing.
The Southgates are heavy.

Nice! You would think that like most Odyssey stuff, they'd be easy to find, but no. I had a hard time finding some skim milk bars.
