Well been a busy week and just finished this frame this weekend .
Never done it before with the proper gear as I normally use the good old elbow grease 
This machine make it so easy and takes half the time..

But..
Having a few issues with this machine..
I gets hot with continuous use and just applying the compound blocks to the polishing wheel its enough to stop the momentum and stall the machine.
Even too much pressure when polishing this frame it stops and gets a humming sound.
Its ok from the start as it will not stall but after a hour or so using it for a long time it gets hot then stalls ..
Have any of you guys had this issue before as to be honest a hour of continuous use its going to get hot and possibly a fail safe built into it..

That machine ain't cut out for it long term. I have a bench grinder with a mop mounted on one side. It's much more powerful but will still slow down if I go at it too hard. Never stopped it or heard the motor humming though

This is the sort of thing I have, was about 40 quid from b&q years ago. Just removed the right hand wheel, shields and guard and fitted a mop cone

too hot to touch it mind..
I have requested a refund and will upgrade to a more heavy duty one than this if they refund me.
Well..
I started Tuesday as I just finished my man cave .
Around 2hrs a night off and on when the shite like EastEnders is on and most of the afternoon on Saturday gone.
I Say 10 hrs of work..
I did spend 2 hrs with the wrong polishing pad and had to go back and start again..
Its a job of patience trust me I haven't got it..
But worth the effort..
Just two more frames to go..

It sounds like you need something a little more heavy duty Ady! In case you didn't know, a good way to clean the mops as you are using them to stop them getting clogged is to hold a stiff wire brush over it hard in between applying the compound as and when needed

Was using a heavy duty scraper but only removes the surface .
The wire brush is a great idea so thanks for that..

Going to get a more heavy duty unit as this one is not up too it..
But there polishing products are great..
