Win Stem ID
« on: March 21, 2016, 11:13 PM »
Hey Radsters, can anyone date this Win stem for me:-

I think Diamond Back had a very similar-looking, but Sugino-made one on some of its mid-80s models but I can't seem to find much info about this Win one. Thanks in advance! :daumenhoch:

Natsukashi, skate pool and porkchop either still do or at some point have sold this stem. I believe it's a Win WDB60 I had one for a while, but never figured out a date

Yeah, Skate Pool have one for sale at the mo' but Steve's not sure of the date either. Reckon it's later than what I want (early 80s) but I'm attracted by the interesting/funky design! :coolsmiley:

Theyre funky, but n all fairness look odd once fitted and its nerve racking, tightening the top cap up, they dont appear to be all that strong, i will find a pic of mine fitted, its a few years old now so will have trawl old facebook pics

my mate had one around 1983-84. not sure what make it was, but it was from the local bike shop and they never got any high end parts in. it was all landar and chang-star type stuff.

Thanks for the replies and pic. It's good to see one actually fitted to a bike. Think I'll hold out for something that I really want rather than gamble on this. Thanks again for the help. :daumenhoch:
