Can I add that Mr Haro has no obligation to ride anything! LOL

Still buzzing after an amazing weekend! Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Rob & Ed & everyone else that sorted the ramps, best set up we have had as a couple of riders could ride at the same time, lovely long bank for kickturns though the wall got in the way for some hanging over the edge ramp stalls! Me & Aggie (white Haro sport) are going to work on a few double tricks for next year, so wish we tried a double air, we were so close to giving it a go but there was always lots of people watching!

Mary really enjoyed it, you made her feel very welcome & loved telling me you made her a cup of tea! Shes also keen to learn a few kickturns & small ramp tricks ready for next year so lets see what happens  :D

Thanks again for setting up when the weather wasn't to good & hope you got away before the rain on Sunday. Cant wait to see ya next year rampsters...  :daumenhoch:

I must admit the rain tried it's best to stop us riding and at times it did, but there were people on them all afternoon having a go. I spent a bit of time on the track this year as my son Logan was with me but we had a couple of sessions on the ramps with the Usual Suspects when we'd all finally arrived - not as much as the previous years but we still rode between the rainfall!

There were two standout moments at MK for me and both were at the ramps. The first was my 5yr old carving round the kick-turn ramp for the first time and how everyone riding was being patient with him as he tried.  He even fell off and another kid there picked his bike up and was asking him if he was ok  :D

The second was walking over to the gazebo with a burger to have a chat with Bob and Ed then Bob Haro came over and sat there chatting with us..... very surreal! Gotta say thanks to John Griff for taking a pic of me, my son Logan and the father of freestyle himself :coolsmiley:

So once again Rad min and Bob at Radii Ramps, we thank you for an awesome event and hope we can all do it again next year fistblump
Still limping......

:LolLolLolLol: Its really strange, Matti Hemmings, the pro flatlander that was there & arguably the UK's No 1, i've chatted with him loads of times as he rides in Bristol, he said its worth me entering a comp in Brum later in the year, 'your having a chuffin giraffe' I said! he then said that everyone is doing the spinny tricks that he does, people are just as blown away with older stuff life cherry pickers etc as no one has seen them, they are lost to history. Its an interesting point, often a group of lads will gather around when im doing simple front hops, i can do as many as i like & they cant believe it & ask how is it done, the most simplest trick that i learned when i was about 10 & it still gets a crowd. For me the stuff around 88/90 is what i want to do, i stopped riding in 88 when i joined the Royal Tank Regiment so thats the goal for next year, hitch hikers, McCircles, pinky squeeks, lets get it on. Mat Dyer (who was also there) is also a great rider & does the kind of riding i want to do but hes had a few injury's lately. At the end of the day its just a laugh playing about.

Hi chaps.

Good weekend eh?

Just clear one thing up;  we have a limited budget for ramps so each year we look at how the previous year went, feedback and what we think the following year might require. Ed and I had a few chats and along with forum participation this years format was decided.

Except for the wallride.

This was a bit of a last minute affair as it was a Radii freebie just to shut Ed up really. You all know how he bangs on about things.....  :LolLolLolLol:

He subsequently blamed Lenny of course  :Aresehole:.

Anyhoo.. This became the subject of some debate as in order to place the wall in such a spot that it rode ok would stop people from kickturning right up there on the lip and would rule rampstalls out completely. I ended up taking the decision to compromise so the majority of people could have some fun at the expense of a trick or two for some.

It seemed like everyone understood on the day and thankfully the wallride got a lot of use over the weekend so I felt like the decision was fair.

However, as the kickturn ramp was such a huge success we will have course be sure to add another freestanding one to the itinerary for future events.

My ramp highlight of the weekend aside from Splodge who appeared to have rode every minute of every hour both days, was James White enjoying a kickturn session riding that Survivor Hutch. That kinda summed up what MK should be for me.

Rob and mr stokes had me in stitches this year, and the tea from the Romanian topped it off, pukka time.
