Identification frame help wanted.
« on: February 23, 2016, 07:23 AM »
Bought a frame for my lad thinking it was an ammaco but it has diamond cut outs on the rear dropouts, it's the same frame as an ammaco 87 freestyler but has no bent down tube.. Last pic is of an ammaco (with bent down tube which mine don't have) off the museum for you to compare, all the ammacos i find with same rear end as mine, all have bent down tubes.I am looking for make and model of my frame,  also included is serial number. Serial number starts cs96
Thanks
In advance. :daumenhoch:

The frame used in the bottom pic of the 'Ammaco' is a generic Taiwanese frame which got stickered up as a lot of things.....Townsend, Falcon Pro, Ruption to name a few.
There may be slight detail changes here and there i.e no rear hoop, straight down tube but it is basically the same frame. I imagine it is made of Hi Tensile and fairly heavy.
It may well be an Ammaco but not as nice as the twin top tube freestylers they produced in the early to mid eighties.  :daumenhoch:

Well I got it badged as an ammaco so it will stay as an ammaco. As you say they was badged as different brands and obviously mine was ammaco.
Cheers
