Dan , is that the only area of chrome peeling ??  Are you going for new decals ??

If it is the only area of peel and you are thinking of going for new decals , why don't you get Del to make the chrome backing of the decal a bit longer and you could then cover the 'peel area' with the chrome decal .  :-\

I personally wouldn't re chrome it , you would be better selling this and holding out for one in mint condition imo if you want chrome .

Bloody hell Joff, that's a great idea about the decals.  :4_17_5:

You're smarter than you look.  :D

I'd go survivor too.

BTW, pretty much everyone is smarter than Joffy looks  :P
Still a good idea on the chrome backed decals.

Well lads, the results of the poll have decided that this stays as a survivor, which saves me a fair bit of cash, but has now done SBD out of a few quid.   :10_2_12:

But I'm sure Dan won't hold it against me, with ride season just around the corner.

Yes, exactly that. I'm not keen on tuffs but certain bikes do suit them, this Torker being one.
Keep the pics coming.  :daumenhoch:

Cheers lads, some great comments.

It will be a couple of weeks before I can get to grips with this again, I've got some family stuff going on that will take over, and a 100 mile charity ride to concentrate on, oh and the BMX pot is empty, I'm planning to have this done for MK though, so no rush.

I, until a few days ago, wasn't too sure where to go with this. I didn't want all chrome/black - got a few builds like that, and didn't want to go chrome/gold/yellow - would be like my Patty, so I'm going mainly with black parts, with a couple of gold details.

Don't panic Ant, I've already got repop grips, and I'll follow up with the stem, seat, tyres, brake lever, decals and pad set.

I had fully intended to do a Hutch style full parts layout prior to building, but couldn't wait to get stuck into this, so an hour later, we have...
