Right mid kid's, plan A has Fooked off & plan B has been put in place. When I got the thing I really liked the raw look with the bluing to the welds n everything. Unfortunately that went tits up when I got it dunked as it took it off. Decided a nice candy red was in order & Dan was up for the job, then had a chat with my mate Dave. He has an og raw Streetbeat & always liked the look of it & he offered to have a whack at bluing it up again & giving it a shine up n that. Thought well it can't hurt to try & can powder over if it fooks up. Anyway, sent some pics yesterday & fook me what a difference, some will hate it but I think it's ace & can't wait to pick it up later today

Bit stuck on the decals now, quite like the idea of a ghosted sort of thing that really blends into it, fook knows what though

Thanks Jon, just off to get it. Would be difficult to get the lacquer to stick properly, his beat & this have a wax on them to stop it rusting, his has lasted ages now & Beauty is you can just touch it up when needed

Great job mate, it looks fantastic!
You can get lacqeur which will stick, made by MIPA it's 2k but a 5:1 mix...made for raw banisters etc. I should still be able to obtain it, used to use it on the polished ally wheels, real good stuff

How about getting the decals done as a rub on, sticking them on then spray/fade around them, then peel them off and lacquer over...bit hard to explain but you would be left with the MORALES in raw with an outline... I reckon would look killer

Thanks Damo, now I've got my hands on it I reckon this wax stuff is the answer. It stops the rust,won't chip or flake & it's easy to redo if required. Will shine up nice after after few more layers

Yeah that would be nice if it could be made to look like the bluing on the welds. Even better if it could be done with heat!

Had a little bit of a build session, had to do a bit of bodgery on the fishbone to get it round the larger head tube & come up with a way of holding the rear cables. Because this frame is pre production, they helpfully forgot to fit the cable guide on the down tube & drill/tap the seat tube .
