Frame and forks arrived this morning and being the impatient coont that I am I wasted no time in starting to build it! Bars should be here by Friday...happy days!

Bars arrived this morning, massive thanks to BrianP for coming through with these....

I wasn't happy with the finish on the crank and also realised that crank had a slight bend, So a mint crank has been sent to Mark at Impreziv finishing to have the arms black/chromed...as soon as that is back this bike should be finally built....

Ha, just waiting on the crank to come back Ant! it should be with me today or tomorrow.....should be done by end of weekend!

Thanks for the encouragement lads...no one is more impatient than me and this is taking far too long for my liking!! I put her out in the sun today as I wanted to get an idea of how the wheels/tyres were going to look as tbh it all looks a bit weird and mismatched indoors! it comes into it's own in the sunshine!

I thought the crank would arrive today but it appears not! hopefully tomorrow. A fella known only as 'Wet look Gel'

is painting my bars and he assures me they will be back Saturday so with any luck this will get built fully over the weekend. Still a couple of last minute things to do like de-anno my brake levers and buy some inner tubes which somehow I keep forgetting!

imagine my disappointment when I opened the package!

Crank finally arrived today! 'wet Look' is coming round tonight with the bars....levers have been de anno'd...better go buy some inner tubes!!

Found this vid of Ron riding this bike in 1985, so glad I went for an 85 frame and cables etc. It is strange how he had certain parts which were later on the bike such as the uni-directional chainring and the black Fu-Pa crank off the later 87 Master (I can only presume this)...and how his frame is painted like the 86's in 85. He was probably being used as a test bed for the later parts and look I would imagine.....

Fantastic. There's one aerial, about 1:42 in, that looks so flipping high!

I will buy you inner tubes myself to get this finished!!! Come on!! Its looking really good!

Well....it is finished!

I reckon it's about right...even down to the unclipped cable tie on the top tube! Just glad it's finally done as it was dragging on a bit for my liking. Hope everyone likes as much as I do!

cheers Joe... I have the time, but not the money...or space! I am fooking skint mate, I just like my builds to be right! I try and keep my overheads low so I can have more fun...not having a missus helps! This will be the last one I build for a good while, I have other non bmx related stuff I need to get on with now as drifting season is approaching fast!
