spoke question.
« on: January 29, 2016, 09:18 AM »
Im currently restoring and building some small flange gt hubs onto super 7x rims (36h so ill be doing 3cross) so ive got to get some spokes. Whenever i build wheels, it seems i almost always get the spokes either slightly too big or slightly too small so im asking if anyone on this fine forum of ours can give me some tips on what length spokes might be best to use.
Cheers

the oldest question in the book :LolLolLolLol:

should be 186, but go 194 4x for extra strength, we're not as thin as we used to be  :crazy2:

Get a measuring stick and google the dt swiss spoke length calculator. Free version is fine. It gives you an answer to 2 decimal places and i always round down. Ie 184.85mm would be rounded to 184.
