I had a set of these cw bars which came on a Curtis expert that i sourced back in 2011.
I sent an e-mail & some pics to Curtis bikes to try to find out if they made them.
Here it is , good old search box

Hi,
I wondered if you can take a minute to read this as im trying to find out if you made these handlebars back in the 80s.
These type of bars were originally made by an American company called CW racing and they called the bars CW's .
The bars i have in the picture came on a Curtis expert which i have restored and have your Curtis stickers on, I thought that these were just added to them for looks?
What makes them different to many other copy CW bars is that these have brazed welds rather than tig weld.
I also have a small Rickman bmx brochure from the 80s which shows these bars on there product list, i wondered if Rickman made them for you as they also used brazed welds on their frames and bars.
It would be really good if we could find out who produced these brazed CW bars back in the 80s,
As Curtis are renowned for their quality frame building it would be nice to single these out from the many other copy CW's from the 80s in circulation as there are very few brazed ones so it would nice to put a name or maker to bars.
Appreciate your time and look forward in hearing back .
Many thanks scott.

Hi scott ,
The bars you have are original curtis pro bars for sure , Brian ( mr Curtis ) also made all the rickman frames which is why they are brazed as well .
I would love to see the old Rickman brochure you have .
Regards
Gary.
I sold them on ebay soon after listed as Curtis made cw bars ..
