For the amount of work required to polish a seat guts I would just buy a new one...not worth the hassle  :daumenhoch:

you could mixup a small quantity of citric acid dip, but don't leave it long, just till the crap lifts off with scrubbing of a stiff toothbrush,  rinse with warm soapy water and dry.
now the sminkee bit, get some mothers metal polish and wank buff it till you can see ya face in it!!! ill bung up a pic of one i just polished without dipping soon....bosh kowabunga!

Is that relaxing home alone wankspeed or just hearing a key in the door when you're past the point of putting it away wankspeed?

vinegar strokes are nothing to do with the speed, more the look on your face when you get to the point of no return.  :D

now you just need to re-learn English Jon :teef:

btw I see US guys always mention Mothers polish as the buffing cream of choice, how does it compare to Peek?
I fooking love Peek - that stuff is just ace, but always good to hear results from other places. Bit reluctant taking advice from FB where people are still recommending that people use tin foil and water on chrome.

Peek is definitely better than autosol, less abrasive
And both are better than Brasso

Until I know more about this Mothers polish Jon's using, would stick with Peek followed by a buffing with a Goddard's Silver cloth

I put John on to Mothers polish.

Best I've ever used. Rub it on with a bit of rough tissue then leave for about 10 mins. Then polish off and jobs a goodun.

Has worked wonders on my Brum WHEELS Mini which I was convinced required a rechrome before I started.

The only rust on it now is beneath the original decals, which I was desperate to retain (but it's now driving my OCD mEnTaL)
