GT Tour & GT Show
« on: January 10, 2016, 10:43 PM »
I have been looking around for info on tours and show's here in uk but aint having much luck  :( I have a tour 2 which im doing a reso an atm for a rider. Even the tour 2 is hard to find have only seen three for sale so far and i bought one of them three lol. But eventually I would like to own a real deal but it seems they are extremely rear here! I have seen two tours and one show (Nigels which is gorge) in the GT thread on here but would like to know if theres any fans or owners here that have info on numbers of these over here? Just would like to know the possibility of finding one for sale, rough price guide if i do.... It may be the case that it would be easier to get one sent over from the US but there aint many for sale there either.... I did see a show frame and forks for sale (about £350ish) but he wouldnt post international  >:( that was the only one i have been able to find so any help would be appreciated.

I'm pretty sure Dodge-13's mate has a Tour up in his loft.  Whether it's for sale or not though I don't know.

Ahahha yes dee it will take an age to go for that price tho!

No Nbevan I think it sold pretty quick when he put it on ebay.... it was a good price so i wasnt surprised. But you could always pm him and check worth a try! Are you looking for a tour or tour 2 or either?

Ideally im after a chrome tour 2 98,99 complete bike. If I could find a tour at the right price wouldnt turn it down.

Yep I've seen that, I think he's dreaming on price. But then again something is worth what some one is willing to pay. It's been sitting on eBay a while, I think will be there a while longer.

Yea thats what i thought when i originally saw it on at £180 for the frame! its now £110? lol! I saw a chrome frame with the single gusset pacmans go on auction for £70+ not so long ago that was a no reserve auction so it seems that is roughly the price for f+f. Just seems they are pretty darn hard to find not many come up at all. When i got mine it was actually listed as a performer so i got it a little cheaper but ive been looking for a good while and 4 in total have come up 1 of which i bought. Will keep my eye out m8 but if I find a tour i may have to but it myself lol.

Tour2 only sold in 99/2000. 99 had a 1 piece crank, 2000 had a 3 piece.

the gt show had a nasty habit of cracking in various places, plus the bottom bracket completely separating from the frame  not many survived and not many were bought, as the complete bike cost the best part of £1000 and f&f £350+ :crazy2: only hardcore flatlanders bought them and killed them, which there was never that many flatlanders in late 90s anyway :( sadly even less now and no where really sells flatland parts any more :'( :'( :'( :'(
