oh these were the days.
as you look at the pic I'm far right on a Super Tuff Burner, Cousin in middle on Ultra Burner and mate (can't remember his name) on left on what I think was a Team Burner :/

Sweet....love grainy 80's pics...great stuff. Although my dad was a keen photographer, he had kind of knocked it on the head by the time I was into bmx and I don't have one photo of me on my bike  :-\

85/86 miles platting 7am before the local got up & nicked ya bike  :knuppel2:

The steel qtr pipes had loads of vert & the uneven bowl was full of nicked cars , shopping trolleys & Mattresses

Did anyone on here ever have the pleasure of this fine establishment ?

Yeah I used to ride Miles Platting a lot. On my bike and board. The ramps were designed by Andy Preston's dad and were a tight 8 foot transition at best. They had a gritty/grippy type painted surface on 'em. The curved trick ramps were fun to ride. The track with concrete berms was bobbins!
Did you ever ride the super-smooth concete 1/4 on the other side of Oldham Road? It was about 25 foot wide. Once you'd swept away all the broken glass it was great even if you had to keep looking over your shoulder for the dodgy locals..

I did ride to he smooth concrete one behind the bridge , it was worse with all the glue sniffers & Gas sniffers  :-\  it was like a zombie B-movie dodging them

My mates dad has just sent me these pics in a Christmas card & he said there's loads more , it was his son that had the vauvelle freestyler I'm going to stay with them in france next year I'll take some pics  :daumenhoch:

The Melanie vauvelle freestyler was like an early haro master with mk1 ez bars  mike buff zeds
I had the stem & hot seat off it as my mate didn't like them
