Opinions on this please?
Got someone at work who is interested in it,but can,t offer much input myself.
Seems a nice bike but a touch expensive?

I am not sure if it is a genuine 85 frameset .  it's a vintage series re issue built up with all new parts which look old skool. It looks ok to the untrained eye but it's bloody expensive for what it is. It is 100% repop and new parts. for the money he could get a genuine 85 Sport f and f and build it with better parts. There was a 1985 Sport frame and forks  in blue in nice survivor condition which sold yesterday on bmxmuseum for $350!

its the current reproduction frame, with horrible parts. it looks absolutely awful the way its been built, absolutely amazed anyone would consider buying that especially at the price it is.
they could have at least tried using authentic looking repop parts, shame on alans for for building such a lame bike.

Nice frames pop up on here .
Tell him to be patient and do his research.
I would buy a nice frame and forks and in joy building the bike sourcing the bits which is the best bit...
They are over priced this time of year..
Nick on here had a true survivor at a reasonable price if he doesn't want to get his hands dirty
With NO repop bits ..
The one on ebay which to be honest at even half the price its still not worth it..
Tell him to do a search on ebay with Haro sports gt pro performers or just old school bikes at "sold prices" in the advanced search top section on ebay page ..as this will give him a guide as too what they sell for..
But again so many have bought over priced bikes so tread lightly ..

This ^

Plenty of people here who will be happy to help him avoid getting burned, plus it's a great place to do some research while waiting for something to pop up

I've got an 86 Sport frame & forks, blue over chrome. Completely OG. It's been ridden properly so no minter, but absolutely no dents or cracks etc. :daumenhoch:
