What grips were available, and the most comfortable, back in 1979 and 1980  ???

I think Oakley 1s would have still been around ... I think they are super cool :4_17_5:

Oakley IIIs were around in 80 weren't they? Nearly every bike round our way had them, or cheaper copies of them.

Oakley IIIs were around in 80 weren't they? Nearly every bike round our way had them, or cheaper copies of them.
Oakley 3, or Cobra grips. I hated those grips back then. They didn't sit well with CW Pro bars  :D

Thanks for all the input gents, I appreciate the effort.

I think I will opt for the a'me tri's. She doesn't ride with gloves yet, and the look like the better option. I like the Oury grips, but ridges hurt after a while when riding without gloves, and i don't think Oakley .5's for $299 will fit in with her survivor bike   :D   ;D
