Adidas Cruiser
« on: May 08, 2018, 02:07 PM »
Having been totally inspired by the 2003 Kappa K-23 Adidas 24" Cruiser  & Andrew Rigby's Adidas Diamond Back build I've been planning this for a while, its changed spec quite a few times & it's a rider so i didn't want to go crazy money wise .

Ive actually been building 4 other bikes  recently (having thought id retired) & the opportunity to build this came along when i picked up a Falcom Pro 24" at a really decent price ...

I decided to remove the head tube metal badge & also the gusset which I think is pretty ugly to be fair & defines it as the falcon frame.

Took it to a welder friend of mine who tidied it up & I then purchased my favourite cruiser bars (Skyway cruiser pro's) stripped the paint  Took the frame  off to a local powder coaters as i'd heard good things ...

Del provided the decals & I created a cheeky Stan Smith style (pro model decal of myself) a while back now so & included that just for a giggle but at least no one can now nick it  :daumenhoch:

And i put together some decals for Steve to make my pad set & he's done an awesome job..

I made the valve caps as Scotty B seems to have vanished , again using decals from del some blank dice which i drilled out from ebay & some blue Valve caps & super glue ...

heres Lots of VHT spray painted parts inc seat clamp chain ring stem & brake calliper & lever as (again its a rider) & i was on a budget !

There's Some (Nos-ness) included also within the blue Odi Mushroom grips , Tioga FC1 & Victor DX pedals 24x1.75 Swallow Comp 3's & some new tuffs...

Anyway hopefully i can take her out this afternoon ... Ive already had it fall over & split the end of the grip just after taking the last pic....  :loser:

nice work Callum - wish you'd stop using photobucket though as we'll lose the images at some point when their site goes bust (& that would be a shame!)
