How did they do that?  :-\ I don't get how it would fit!  :-\ Wonder if it would give an advantage if racing!  :-\ Clever however it was done. :)

BITD Clemtwin cranks were exactly the same.

You needed a Clemtwin crank (dual drive) and Clemtwin rear hub (again dual drive).

They are pretty nuts! Do you think there was a real advantage when racing or was it just a gimmick? Surely the weight would be a disadvantage?  :-\

Oh yes I agree with that, love the 6 wheel Tyrell.

That is what BMX was about in the early days, innovation and trying new stuff, things we miss these days as frame geometry is pretty much as good as it gets.  However we miss things like twin cranks, Slingshot frames, Bandito frames with dual dropouts, CW Phaze 1 (Z frame) etc, the fun stuff.
