Is the lever your after a copper/gold colour , I've a set somewhere with the caliper nos , in both colours I ll have a look over the weekend just out of interest do you know how they dated the shimano brakes ? I've a few sets in different colours and a really early complete set with red dot levers but wondered what the date could be

Hey Nige,

It's basically the same colour you see of the one I posted buddy. I need a lefty as I don't use the right. I am ambidextrous on most things, just not braking 

The date code on the levers is stamped on the rivet. This one is EK. The first letter is the year, the second the month, so in this case, the lever is dated November 1980

Hi bud , found it but it's a right  , I imported a few sets from oz a few years ago , I never fitted ,just out of interest is the code chart the same on the calipers ? I've a full set  nos in silver with red dot levers and 79 stamped on them ?
