80/81 Mk1 Tange Hot Heart

Thought I'd jump in on this. The idea was to make an early Tioga Team tribute to sit alongside my Rhino Charge build in the later Tioga colours. Thanks to all the radsters that helped make it happen 😉

Parts List:

Tange TX-1200 Forks, Tange Meriter MX-Pro Sealed Headset, Tioga Taskforce Stem, Nitto Cr-Mo Bars, Grab On MX-2 Grips, Kashimax Bar Pad, Shimano Pre-Bent Lever, Shimano Cable & Cable clips, Tourney DX Caliper, Tange SC-1 Clamp, Tange Fluted Post, Kashimax Super-Pro Saddle, Takagi Tourney Cranks, Takagi / Tange BB, Tioga Surefoot II Pedals, Izumi Chain, Reissue Comp III's, Early Zeds on ACS Hubs, Shimano 333 Freewheel.

Hope you like it. I'm really pleased with it.

Frame: June 1984 date stamped Ammaco Freestyle Pro with uncracked stamped gusset(!) Was originally chrome but had it painted white. Repro decals.
Forks:  Tange TRX. Original chrome finish.
Bars: NOS Win.
Stem: Black NOS Hutch.
Wheels: ACS Z-Mags, Ammaco dustcaps.
Tyres: Peregrine
Padset: NOS genuine Ammaco.
Headset: NOS black Hatta.
Grips: NOS ODI Mushrooms with check donuts.
Brakes: Black/White combo Dia-Compe MX901’s.
Brakepads: Kool Stop.
Brake Cable: Black ‘84 dated DC.
Lever: Dia-Compe Tech-4’s.
Cranks:  Sugino OPC.
Pedals: Survivor white Hutch; this is built to be ridden (and dropped) so I didn’t want minty pedals I’d be scared of damaging.
Chainring: ‘Tiger’ Tuf Neck.
Chain: Black/White Izumi.
Seat clamp: Black Tange.
Seat/Post: Integrated white UNI.

I was correct to use survivor pedals, as this afternoon after taking the pics I had a blast on the park (for the first time in decades) and ended up on the floor following quite a heavy impact; dropped bike, broken chain and left knee spastication injury.

Lots more pics of the build and amazing Wolvo graffiti here:- http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,107203.0.html

Do I get any extra points for not getting mugged whilst successfully negotiating a Wolverhampton Subway whilst carrying (white tyres) an 80's BMX and an SLR camera AND a baby?

Btw - chain is a bit slack on a few of the pics after I fell off and didn't have any tools on me to tighten it up again (makes mental note to self).
