Really lost touch . Not built anything for over a year .
« on: November 07, 2015, 03:48 PM »
Not been about much and not feeling as inspired as I was . Thinking of having a big clear out to be honest . Keeping all my builds at the moment.  Think it needs to be done . Spending most of my time doing Landy stuff instead.  As I'm really happy now with my new job not looking for the trill of hunting and buying parts . All my grails are for filled.  The last was aquiring  the RGD stems and rotor.

LOL, I've not built anything for about 4 years!  Still love it though but have taken a step back of late just to focus on other stuff.

I recently bought a frame that I have been after for ages.

Now I have found a spec sheet from BMX Action Bike and realised the parts I need are really going to cost a fair amount.  For example, Kashimax Aero saddle, Dia-Compe MX1000 rear caliper, ACS hubs and stem, Takagi cranks, KKT pedals.

I never buy these kind of parts, I cannot ever remember building a bike with a Kashi Aero saddle, and rarely use MX1000 calipers.

I have been out of this building 80's bikes for a long time, the 70's stuff is a lot cheaper and suprisingly a lot easier to source.

Much the same for me also .I Sold 80% of the bikes I had about a year ago to help fund an Rv  . I`ve just held on to a Kuwahara Supernova and two large boxes of parts .. Prices now seem really high on most parts ,Is the bubble ever going to burst .

Do this one then, was the one I made reference to on Farcebook...

Even better than that Marty, along the same lines but instead of the Team model it is the Super Team.  Notice the black tubes but with chrome frame lugs and dropouts.

This is a picture of the bike built in a magazine...

Get going on straightening that Proclass rim i handed you at MK. That'll get the juices flowing  :daumenhoch:

(Don't forget the step by step pictures and guide in the tech/resto section to remind people how annoyingly clever you are  ;) )
If there's air in the tyres... it's a rider
