I spoke to Jonnygoose today mate and apparently the very first Tuff 1's were stamped (1974 -these are ultra rare) and then they were unstamped like the ones you have  ;)

Nice wheels mate  8)

I thought it was the other way around Joff   ???

I see plenty of the stamped ones come up for sale on the Museum. I don't see many unstamped ones though.

1975 onwards for unstamped then stamped Tuff 1's. I have 2 sets of nos black unstamped and just have the date wrote inside the rim. 77 and 78.

Not had a read through the whole lot but some bloke called Maurice wrote this, think he might know a thing or 2 about Tuff wheels  :)

 :LolLolLolLol: '' came off a commercial lawnmower ''   :2funny:

If you come across a complete set Terry give me a shout as Jonnygoose wants a stamped set , he did say the stamp was more like a white graphic as opposed to a mold ( which doesn't really tie in with the Yellow one in your first link - maybe there were 3 generations of them ?? )

Just had a read Ash , Jonnygoose is right then .... the first ones were stamped or maybe printed is a better word from 75-77 and then the unstamped version came out in 78-81  . The molded stamp ones came out in 1980 and ran through to 83  :daumenhoch:

Early printed Tuff 1 75-77

Unstamped Tuff 1 78-81

Stamped Tuff 1 80 - 83

Great info guys  :coolsmiley:

I am surprised they ran the Tuff 1 alongside the Tuff II though. I would have thought the Tuff 1 wouldn't be able to compete with the Tuff II, in kids wanting the Tuff II, and would have withdrawn the Tuff 1  :-\

You learn something new every day in this hobby. BMX forever  :daumenhoch:

That's a misleading advert as Perry is on his NBA winter nationals bike with steel hub Tuffs but the advert is for earlier ones  :LolLolLolLol:
