Just found out Mrs griff actually has some citric acid powder in stock (apparently it can be used for things other than restoring bike bits - imagine that?!)

I would tickle up the smooth bits as best you can and leave it at that, the textured stuff is far too textured on those Brooks saddles to be sanding
Progressive grades of wet or dry followed by a polish. You can get plastic polishes but t cut or probably peek would work just as well on a black seat I imagine
