Any recommendations for reviving a plastic saddle?

Can anyone recommend any products to help revive a saddle that's looking a bit tired? (Textured surface, fine scratches)

Saddle's not in the house right now, will get some up tomorrow night (off to see SBD in the morning )
Seem to recall someone managing to freshen up a saddle with some of that stuff they use on car bumpers, or did I imagine it...?

Various ways to revive a saddle depending on the make, the colour and texture.  Deffo need pics.

Ok sorry for late follow up but had a few things going on

Gave the seat a bit of a clean up and took some shite iPhone pics, but here's a brief summary
Top of saddle is textured, but looks like it's been put on the ground at some point in its life
Sides are smooth and have the odd fine mark
Rails & guts need a clean up
Biggest issue though is on one of the 'loop' thingies at the back, when it arrived one of them was sticking out of the package & it looked like the postie had dragged it down a rough wall (Cnut) while I've been able to gently file off some of the worst snags it still looks a bit worn down









Just found out Mrs griff actually has some citric acid powder in stock (apparently it can be used for things other than restoring bike bits - imagine that?!) so will try the seat guts in that, any suggestions for something to help revive the plastic gratefully received x

Yep, junkies use it when they cook gear on a spoon, although mrs griff may well just clean things with it.

Great tip 

Apparently oven pride can also be used to clean ovens

I would tickle up the smooth bits as best you can and leave it at that, the textured stuff is far too textured on those Brooks saddles to be sanding

What would you tickle them with?

Progressive grades of wet or dry followed by a polish. You can get plastic polishes but t cut or probably peek would work just as well on a black seat I imagine

Rail side down In the citric chum. Like Clint says I wouldn't go bononkers on it , you'll end up making it worse & might hurt your hand or something

That silvo worked well on them Perry seats, buff it off sharpish Griff or you'll be scrubbing it out of the nooks n crannies for ages
