Much better than eels Phil. They're hot for a start. Imagine a hot bagel stuffed full with melt in your mouth juicy meat. Similar to ham/gammon, but better. As Jews don't eat pork, they go for hot salt beef. I have mustard on it too. Amazing stuff. They do plain, chicken, cream cheese, smoked salmon bagels too for strange folk. Beigel Bake on Brick Lane is open 24 hours a day, and always busy. Food of the gods

You have to try the local cuisine. A juicy saveloy sausage is always a treat. They're a rare treat anywhere north of Watford Gap. I draw the line at jellied eels though. Tried them a few years ago. Absolutely disgusting
