Dug my Zima out of the shed
« on: July 19, 2015, 11:39 PM »
Hey,  dug out my poor neglected Zima at the weekend. Been years since I rode her down Leigh on Sea ramps or Romford. Time has come to fix her up. The Tech77s and ACS BOAs, Odyssey bits and bobs are still fine. But the frame has a bit of rust. Going to get her rechromed.

Anyone know how many Zimas are still around and if its worth anything?  Not that I'd ever sell it!

PS Great site

Cheers,

Why not give it an Oxy bath first to see how it comes up?  :-\  :daumenhoch:

Its gone past that stage. In the joints there it's back to bare metal and flaking off in places. I'll be able to use most of my original parts, but it's wheels are failing appart..  Any ideas where I can get some (bit out of touch) any brands or ones you could recommend??

Any parts you are after put up a Wanted ad.  :) And for all advice either go to Tech and Resto or BMX Chat.  :daumenhoch:

WOW

I lurve a Zima :-)

Thanks for the PM ... Trav says this one is IB033 ... made for Ian Bannister

I will add it to the registry  :daumenhoch:

I was very lucky to pick up the first one of the sliding post frame that Steve made .. its stamped ZIMA SG P1 ... but now yours has come to light he must have made at least 33 of the sliding post ones  :daumenhoch:
