Looking forward to finishing this and giving it a ride. I'm even changing cars so I can get to more rides.

I didn't really even choose that model, just got offered it and really liked it so went for it. Even my handbrake was impressed. She loves oldskool bikes and has no interest in the new ones, but she loved the look of this one.

What would be good pedals and grips to go on this bike?
I want to get correct modern era parts, but I don't know a lot about new skool bits, need to be inexpensive too, I don't have loads of money to throw at it.

Nice, decent bike for your first new schooler
ODI longnecks for grips and odyssey twisted plastic pedals, bit kinder on the old shins
Neither will break the bank

Thanks, just looking at them both, the twisted pedals are available in some ace colours, especially the limited edition ones.
