Cruiser Drive Chain combo

Ok building my first cruiser an 82 Floval Flyer so what do you guys reckon is the best rear cog and chainring combo?

I run a 39 at the front and a 17 at the rear on my GT cruiser

If you already have a 16t rear, then you're going to want a 36t front. If you have 18t rear, then 41 or 42 will suit, mabye 43 even. If you're starting from scratch then go for looks/availability/cost up front, then get the relevant rear to match.  :daumenhoch:

42/17 I run on my '82 Floval. Great for riding distances or cruising.

I think i run a 42/17 but i could do with it being harder to be honest, i find it a bit spinny

Cheers for all the help guys, will now have a see what i have rear cog wise as i know i have  42/43 chainrings that i can use sitting about  :daumenhoch:
