« on: June 26, 2015, 11:32 AM »
Just finished building my new workshop, so finally have somewhere to restore old bmxs and build up some new school racers! I have plenty of tools all the obvious, spaners, sockets, Allen keys, pliers, grinders drills I have. But what would you say are essential tools to building restoring bmx's ie bike stands, crank tools?? And we're to buy thanks guys.

Deffo hammer. What else would you mangle the bottom of a stem with  :LolLolLolLol:

a bench grinder with a polish mop on one side is usefull.... Your shiney new workshop won't stay that way though :-X
Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?   No, it's your top score on Pole Position.

One of those dremmel/multi tool things (thanks again Clint)  :daumenhoch:
I had to go to work on a NOS Pro Neck chainring, a Campagnolo headset crown race and a Hutch seat clamp to make them fit properly on my VDC.

Park Tool Folding Allen Key Set - get one of these far handier than single allen keys.

Chain splitter

Lidl/Aldi do stands for £25-30 think they've just been on though, although you could go into a branch and see if they've any left.

Bearing press - easy to make a home made one.

Cone Spanners

Freewheel removal tool

I have used CRC to show you the tools, feel free to go to your LBS to be treated like a numpty and charged more for the pleasure.
