Next project (warning Burner content)
« on: June 29, 2015, 07:27 AM »
Like most council estate kids BITD all i ever knew was the humble Raleigh Burner, ever since getting back into this hobby i've wanted to recreate my old bike but just never got round to it.  Over the last few years i've been getting bits and pieces here and there and all i need to do now is get the frame, forks, bars and stem cap off to Dan for painting  :daumenhoch:

The donor frame, forks and bars are from an Extra Burner which was actually given to me!  :4_17_5:

It will become a Catalogue special Burner GS  :slayer:

Like this but mine was a Gen 2 with the velcro nylon pads rather than the vinyl ones in the advert.

I had one of these back in the day, the grips were seriously unpleasant, my hands have never truly recovered.  I hope you don't have original ones for this build  :)

Can't wait to see it finished.....

love your old picture though mate  :daumenhoch:
It looks like you are coming off it after trying to lift it off the ground  ;D

Great pic though  :daumenhoch:

Don't build that on your decking though Rob. You will need sturdy ground when it's complete
