I stood on the toilet to hang a clock , slipped and hit my head on the sink and came up with this.

I spoke to a frame builder last night , he said leave the frame as it is , braces will be like adding a band-aid, if it's going to break nothing will stop it.
For my riding it should last forever so enjoy it.
I'll take it out for long run when I get all the team parts bolted to it.
If it breaks this will be the face , more worried about Allenchromes lovely nickel finish.

I agree with what you say about the frame needing to have a certain amount of flex.

I also agree with the frame builder, if it's going to break nothing will stop it.

I reckon it's time to stop worrying and look start looking forward to the finished product. :daumenhoch:

Some progress today, cleaned the OG grips, they were really dirty, with vanish gold, one scoop in warm water and an electric tooth and they came up like new. :daumenhoch: Afterwards made sure to fit a new head to the missus's tooth brush :LolLolLolLol:
Fitted silver chain ring, MKS BM-1's, silver lever parts to match the original shimano lever, mongoose gold stem fitted, headset fitted, also seat post , clamp and 79 prism decals fitted.
Widened the bars from 23" to 26"
Just need to bleed the brake, fit shimano dura ace cable clamps and do a small adjustment to the rear wheel/chain alignment.

I was tempted to have the wheel rims anodised blue but that would mean stripping the wheels again, I may do this at a later date.
