is that a Rickman seat post or a Rickman sticker on just a seat post?

Does'nt look a bad bike that.

What's the story behind it.

AFAIK a fella in N Ireland come across it in an old house, he put it on Ebay and it made £175 but the buyer didn't pay so he put it on Gumtree for £150.  Ian who runs the BMXIreland F/B page spotted it and put it up for ID, after a lot of discussion it was confirmed as a Pug freestyler.

Ian contacted the seller as he was close but decided against it as he's not into freestyle,  Jono said if no one else wants it I'll have it and took a punt on it.  It was a punt because it was advertised on ebay and gumtree using mobile pics that were like looking through the bottom of a jam jar, you could only just make out the peugeot decals.

my friend anthony (cynon soul on here) had one of these back in the mid 80's. the fact they were 531 makes me inclined to think it is likely a uk made frame sold under the peugeot brand.

what made me guess:

http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=4811170
"In the mid 80's they got into freestyle. Their 87 CPX-100 FS was made by the same OEM builder as the Hutch Wind Styler

http://www.23mag.com/com/hutch/hutch.htm
"1985       HUTCH WINDSTYLER.
Made in Taiwan. Tested in Freestylin january 1986.

the test of the 531 seems bit critical mailny cause they think in 1986 it was time for something bit more colourful, other than that says its good, not as good as the Haro, but  good sturdy quality

can't find any hints toward UK built but i'm drunk :crazy2: :slayer:

then again   show me a 531 tube frame not manufactured in Britain......?

We were led to believe the Techniums were american built by Raleigh Nottingham unless it was just a sales scam.
