so my mate just dropped this off, am i right in thinking it was made in april 1984? i'm gonna build it for him and i think he would like a fiola rep. going to see how well the chrome comes up after a citric acid bath but i think it may be too far gone and will need painting.

so i gave it 30 hours in a citric acid bath, used a toothbrush to get into the tighter bits now and again and it turned out pretty good. still gonna paint it though. some before and after pics.

Are you going to remove the chrome first?
Seen some overpainted chrome ones on here and seems to give the paint a nice finish. Or you going powder? Did you see that guys Redline's he had done by SBD they were 1st class. Although he did need a half chrome, half paint finish.
I can't remember who it was though!

Came out great!
I'd be tempted to go for a chrome build but I guess if you're going to rattlecan it yourself, it can easily be taken back to the og chrome finish if need be. In any case, good luck with the Fiola build and keep posting those progress pics!!
