Haro gen one sport.....
« on: April 29, 2015, 01:06 PM »
Calling all Haro experts.
Can anyone tell me whether any of the gen one torker sports came in chrome? I've got a gen one (one of the 7 or so survivors) which I've had for a while waiting for a fork to surface. I've unearthed a fork at last and need to refinish the f&f.  It'll more than likely be in white but I just wondered..........?
I think I may have seen a pic of Rich Sigur on a chrome one but I cant be sure...

Cheers all you haro boys!

Didn't Rich Sigur ride a Mongoose frame when he first got Haro sponsorship? Could be what you remember seeing?

You can really see why he had the nickname The Spiderman!...

Now back to the thread, sorry for hijacking...
When I was born, the world was a far simpler place.
It was all just cops and robbers.
And BMX.

The Sport your talking about was a prototype Sport, single top tube . It was done in Chrome. To answer you question about The Ist gen Sport ever being made in chrome, the answer is "no",only produced in white. I have the picture on my PC, I'll post it up for you at the weekend as I'm away at the minute . The chrome prototype, similar to the holy grail STT sport you see in the Trick or Street advert was believed to be the earliest sport made, and made for Rich, not Mike, as Rich was a tall guy and struggled with the Haro freestyler when riding parks, hence him riding a goose with the Haro sponsor. The Story came from Rich himself.
