1988 Skyway 280TA build finished - picture heavy
« on: April 26, 2015, 11:30 AM »
A departure from my normal 70s stuff (don't worry have 2 of those coming really soon).

I always loved the look of these bikes and it is a nice change than the normal Skyway T/A bikes.

In 1988, Skyway introduced 2 complete BMX Race bikes. The 280TA and the 300TA. Both of these models featured spoked wheels, and not Skyway mags.  The 280TA had caliper brakes and the 300TA had AD990's.

So here it is my Skyway 280TA, I have tried to keep it close to the standard equipment it had when released (a few changes like Uni Turbo seat, but pretty damn close) hope you like it.

I've a set of skyway Streetbeat forks for sale if you were interested too.

Sweet-looking Skyway! I don't remember these from bitd but I passed my driving test in '87 so BMX was bumped down the list! :crazy2:
