« on: March 28, 2015, 05:50 PM »
ive got a survivor chrome firebird freestyler chrome is not good but no repairs and drop outs are good would it be best to sell as is or get it powdered, if powdered what colour do you think looks best, I was going go white after looking at museum on here, or should I leave it survivor and sell on as is ?

I prefer stuff in it's original state that way you can see if it's had repairs or not, other people like refinished stuff probably to save them doing it themselves.

If the chrome is making it look crap what about getting it stripped properly by a chromer and leaving it raw.

Post some pictures up. It might just need an OA / Citruc acid bath then a good polish. It'll be cheaper to try that before getting it re finished.

not sure if you decided either way, but if you want a good home for the F&F, i'm very interested in doing a full resto on a DP Firebird. Mine got nicked in the 80s, time to fill that void :-)

Nik.
