My old Curtis
« on: April 18, 2015, 11:35 AM »
So my old Curtis was made up with parts from my ET..........

Over the years I had it how I wanted it, sadly no pictures at the end, then sold it in 86 maybe for £35..........

Anyway she's back and how I had it. Im 99% sure its the old frame, and chuffed to be riding it again.

As it was originally with chrome steel wheels off the cheaper ET

Then how it was, and is now

Bit of work needed on the wheels

I have also sourced and it took some finding, the original chrome wheels from the ET

Im happy  :4_17_5:

Happy, is a exactly how you should be with that Nickers, tidy job you've done.  :4_17_5:

What a great feeling it must be too, to be reunited with your BITD bike.

The parts sadly are just replica parts from back in the day......

Being an avid Curtis fanatic, I have collected a fair few frames over the years........

On the day I got my original frame and forks, the headset which should have been fitted got bodged in by me, and I took a 'U' shape chunk out the chrome on the head tube....

So when I managed to purchase this, you can imaging my surprise when the 'U' shape damage was there...fair shout thers a possibility if isn't my old one, but I'm sure as it is !
