Hi all,

I have a set of what I presume to be rare SCP Rippers pads, which I collected from Scott Beaumont; he used to race with them on his WHEELS Mini. I am building this as a semi-survivor so it isn't going to be minty-perfect.

The stem pad is white with a black logo - has anybody managed to clean up a white pad without ruining the lettering? What methods have people used please?

I have read about people using CIF and a toothbrush but never had to do it myself.

I've put white pads in the washing machine. Turned the heat right down to 20 and a small amount of detergent. Worked fine for me and did not lift the print. I've given dirty ones a scrub before chucking in machine.

Might try hand washing it first as I've read a few posts about washing machine nightmares.... Plus the bar pad is half white, half blue so it might run

Be VERY careful about putting it into a washing machine. I ruined a set of OG Skyway pads that way

I've seen threads about washing machines, but I've never had a problem myself. I think the key is not too hot, either 20 degrees or no heat at all and not too much detergent. Maybe use a quick 30min wash first time around. $:-\$

Sure is. It's my spare Imp wheel which suited the curve of the pad for the pic.

I think I'll try hand washing it first and keep using the machine as a very last resort. I've got the pad on the build at the minute and tbh it looks pretty cool so I don't think it's a million miles away....
