Same style labels though Terry on the comp 3's. Mitsuboshi was bought out/changed to Tioga around 1985, and the logo styles changed just after then, around 1986. Those style of labels fit in with the 86-92 era, as they changed to rainbow labels after that (on comp 3's anyway - it would make sense that any other tyre styles being made at that time would also adopt the change in logo)

Agreed, but in that case they could have been released in 91 and still sported those labels. Be nice to find out a definite release date

Fair point there. There doesn't seem to be any information on the internet.  Also why comp 8's? What happened to 5,6 or 7's?

Comp VIII's are the only tyre I could not find or get any information on with a near definite date. I don't think they were released prior to 1989 though so would date, in my personal opinion, around mid to late 1989 - 1992, as I have found nothing on them after that date either
