Mid alternatives to Odyssey Gyro?
« on: February 20, 2015, 01:18 PM »
What new rotors/gyros came out around the mid-90s that would work on a 1" headset? I've got a Gyro on my 94 Performer and an Oryg that came off my 98- were there any better alternatives that came out? Is the Fishbone UFO any use, there seems to be loads of them on fleabay- is that for a good reason (ie are they crap)?

Got a couple of ufo's & seem to work quite well. Never been keen on the actual look of a gyro but think I'll be using one on the lagger  :chin:

They work ok when they work ok, if you see what I mean.

I just remember cables popping out and clashes with certain stems etc etc. They just seemed to be a royal pain in the arse compared to a gyro.

I thought the UFOs were fine, at least they didnt rip your flesh off when you had a big moment and got mangled in the bike. I think they are just so cheap now as there are still millions of them left and everything they produced after them was total shite.
If in doubt flat out.
