Shimano DX pedals in lavender/purple (Now with Pics!!!)

Hi Guys,

Did Shimano ever make old DX pedals in the colour Lavender/purple??
I've searched the web & can't find any info so all input is greatly welcome.
The reason I ask is because I scored a few BNIB shimano DX pedals & when i opened the box which should have contained the silver DX, I found the following:












FYI - posted the same topic on bmxmuseum but the info stalled so thought i'd put the feelers out on this side of the pond!

I have NOS Shimano SX in lavender

Forgot to mention that the box was sealed with the original Shimano tape so they must have been this colour when they left the factory!

What's interesting to me about these is that the embossed Shimano lettering on the middle of each pedal is painted too, yet on the black DX pedals the lettering is silver?

Here's a Used pair on the Museum.  I would just say they were boxed wrongly in a Silver box.  Where did you score them from?

I think I can conclude from the feedback that I've received that DX do exist in lavender/purple, they're just few and far between!!

Thought I'd been had, but seems not to be the case

Overstock Shimano stuff that was repainted IMO.  When freestyle came up and race went down.
