Dirt Bros
« on: February 06, 2015, 01:07 PM »
Finally finished tinkering a little with a nice rider Dirt Bros I bought some time ago. I love this, makes an awesome rider and feels really stable for an old/mid crossover. The couple of parts I changed were in keeping with the patina of the survivor.

83 TA XL frame
Haro forks
Peregrine rear, 80's tuff front
Elina LB seat
Shimano DX
Hoffman bars
DC 880/901
GT stem and post
Dirt Bros chainwheel
Jive grips

Wasn't me Danny! This came complete last summer. I bet there were a few bidding on that though, surprised I never clocked it  :daumenhoch:

Yep, the original dirt bros f&f was a standard TA frame with redline forks. They were surplus items that were bought up cheap, re-stickered (re-imaged too) and put out there by a group of guys that were shredding san diego. They had the right image at the right time. God knows how many f&f's they broke. They weren't the strongest.

this is an original dirt bros ta
i bought it from dan harris who imported it from the states
kaner had it off me and here she now is
i think dan changed the chainring from an oddy one, other than that and the front tuff it is how it was
it came with semi pros and gt fat freestyle tyres
they used haro and redline forks ( or anything they could get their hands on by all accounts  ;D )

Chris Hardy broke his dirt bros TA 180'ing a set of stairs, no more than 5-6 steps. Headtube came clean off..!!
